I have a Master's in Writing and Publishing from DePaul University and a Master's of Public Health in Epidemiology from Loyola University Chicago. Currently, I'm pursuing a PhD in epidemiology at Brown University. My primary interests are in infectious disease (especially HIV and STDs), agent-based modeling, and statistics.

On this blog you will find infrequent tidbits about science, literature, politics, personal-life griping, and anything else that happens to strike my fancy. It would be unwise to trust most of the information without referring to linked source material. Better yet, you'll probably want to dig up your own. Links to good literature are always appreciated.

I am a fervent supporter of the Oxford comma, despite this position being widely viewed these days as pedantic. So be it.
